December 2-11, 2011 --- "A Tuna Christmas" --- (a withering satire --- notable in that two men play the entire cast of over twenty eccentric characters of both genders and various ages); presented by the Main Street Players, 115 North Hill Street, www.mainstreetplayers.org; 770-229-9916. <br><br>

 

December 21, 2011-January 4, 2012 --- Christmas school break for GSCS. <br><br>

 

February, 2012 --- "Tuesdays with Morrie" --- (tells the true story of retired sociology professor and his relationship with his students); presented by the Main Street Players, 115 North Hill Street, www.mainstreetplayers.org; 770-229-9916. <br><br>

 

February 20-27,  2012 --- Presidents' Day school break for GSCS. <br><br>

 

March 1, 2012 --- "Masterworks: Gloria!" --- Our major choral-orchestral offering of the season features the well-known Gloria in D by Vivaldi and the lesser-known but highly regarded Messa di Gloria by Puccini.  Elegant baroque style and operatic drama make this a concert not to be missed. March 8, 2012 --- "Carpe Diem String Quartet" --- ("A classical string quartet that rocks?" Yes! Carpe Diem String Quartet is quickly becoming the premier American indie string quartet. The group's musical passion has led them down the paths of gypsy, tango, folk, pop, rock, and jazz inspired music, but the quartet is equally at home with the traditional string quartet repertoire.) April 8, 2012 --- Easter Sunday. <br><br>

 

April 17, 2012 --- "Billy Dean" --- (An American country music singer and songwriter, who first gained national attention after appearing on the television talent competition Star Search. Active as a recording artist since 1990, he has recorded a total of eight studio albums (of which the first three have been certified gold by the RIAA and a greatest hits package which is also certified gold. His studio albums have accounted for more than twenty hit singles on the  Billboard country charts, including eleven Top Ten hits.) April 12-22, 2012 --- "Titanic-The Musical" --- (the award winning musical presented on the occasion of the one hundredth anniversary of the ship's disaster at sea which sank on its maiden voyage April 15, 1912.); presented by the Main Street Players, 115 North Hill Street, www.mainstreetplayers.org; 770-229-9916. <br><br>

 

April 23 -29, 2012 --- Spring break for GSCS. <br><br>

 

May 3, 2012 --- "Earth Songs" --- Season five of GCA ends with a celebration of our earthly home.  Songs of creation and new life, cautionary songs calling us to better stewardship, and delight in cultural and artistic diversity combine with the premier of a commissioned work from New Zealand composer David N.
